Default D16A1 Head swop

Okay So I think there already has been a thread about it but when people don't understand each other, things get lost in translation so think of this as a clarification thread.

Now the topic in question is: will the D16A1 DOHC head bolt onto the D15A1 (EW1 head with carburetor fueling) block.

I've been thinking of this swop because 1- i don't want enormous amounts of power otherwise I would have done a H23 swop because there's no replacement for displacement and 2- I want to keep the fueling system carburetor (Weber 36DCD to be precise) so non v-tech kinda is essential (not sure if the D16A1 head has v-tech or not) so I'm planing on creating a custom intake like I've done with the original head on the D15A1 to fit the Weber Carb.

But if it's easier to just stick to EFI then I'll probably do so

So any advice?

I think the ew trans has the same bell housing bolt pattern as a d16a1.

Just swap the entire engine.

Can you provide instructions on how to wire all 4 vtec solenoids in parallel? I would like to hit vtec 4 times as hard, but I'm confused as to how the wiring configuration would look. Thanks

You link all the grounds, then wire each solenoid into the spark plug wires, that way they hit sequentially as the engine fires. This creates what I like to call asphalt shattering VTEC.
