Default dohc zc oil pump trick?

does anyone know what to do with the zc oil pump,i heard of a trick with the spring in the oil pump,can someone help me out, i already blew a engine because of a weak oil pump.thanks

Its called shimming. You put a 1/8th or 1/16th spacer that makes the spring stiffer. There was a thread about this a few days ago I believe. If not, search around on this site and H-T.

unfortunately, it doen't say anything about the washer in the spring trick. i know it can be done, but i can't get my pump apart all the way...

anyone know how to do it??

Are you having trouble getting the phillips head screws out of the back or what? If that's the case you need a impact screw driver...

nope, i got the screws out no problem..its the allen keys i cant get out.. the 1 looks like its attached to the pump.

they are thread locked so get a good quality allen key and put a peice of small pipe over itand undo it
