Default about cam gears & timing

When cyl 1 is on TDC, should "up"-marks on cam gears point straight up? On my d16z5 they point little bit inwards, is that normal?

Yes that is normal. If you look at the first set of cam caps they have a hole in them for a pin. That will hold the cams in the proper place while you install the belt.
