now will that flow more then my zcdohc head and cams and cam gears easer to find for the d16a1 or would i be better of just porting and polishing my head

u would be better off porting the zc head, you only go d16a1 if you have no other option, that head sucks, literally

thanks i think ill just spend so cash on my head what cams and cam gears valves and all that do i need for my head

Im confused......I thought the ZC block was the same as any other d-series block, why cant you bolt a sohc vtec head on it? isnt it the same as taking a crx si block and putting a vtec head on that? Dohc ZC and Crx si share the same block....correct?????

Nope, the DOHC uses a different block. It's one of the only, if not the only part that can't be swapped between the 2.

I believe it has something to do with the oil passages not lining up correctly.
