Question black top vs brown top

why brown top is 5 hp higher than black top?
and the former has higher torque

it is becuase brown top don't has a catalytic converter?

Here in Europe the Blacktop is rated at 130hp without catalytic converter and 124 with the cat. And The Browntop is rated at 124 hp without cat.
So basicly there is 6 hp diference between them which the Blacktop acquires throuh higher compresion pistons 9.5 against the Browntops 9.3 comp. pistons. And the Browntops ECU controls only the fuel. The ignition advance is controled throug vaacum. But the Blacktops ECU controls fuel and ignition advance.

brown top in japan is 136hp
and jdm black zc is 130hp in japan (with cat)

why brwon is higher?
i reallly don't know
