Default D16A1 vs D16A6 shortblock internal diffs?

OK,

I'd like to know how the D16A1 (86-89 Tegs) and the D16A6 (88-91 Civics) are the same internally.

Do they share the same crank and rods?

What will interchange between the 2 motors?

Reason I am asking is because I'm pretty sure you can put the D17A crank into the D16A6... and I would like to do it in my motor, a D16A1.

Thanks
