Default D series Trans on ZC

I may be getting a DOHC ZC EF but I think the trans is going bad will a regular D series trans work? If so what all do I have to change to make it work or is it a bolt in swap?

Directly bolt on as long as it is a cable, except that you will need different axles. Ef d series axles. Identify your transmission first to make sure its not already an sohc transmission so you don't buy axles if you don't need them

Thank you! It may not even need a tranny but im thinking it will... It is stiff going in 1-5 and almost impossible to get into reverse if its running. Its almost like the clutch isnt disengaging all the way which is the first thing I am checking if I get it because if all it needs is a clutch cable or clutch ill be set lol.
