Default swapping into 92 civic..

Ok so this will be my first engine swap. I have read alot of places tht since its a d swap it would use all the same mounts, harness,ecu as my d15. Then read that ill havr to change all those.. if anyone could point me to a site or anything that would narrow down the hunt i would greatly appreciate it.

OBD1 zc?

No, you will not use a d15 ecu to run a zc(DOHC?)

ZC tranny or the one you have now?

After you socket it and put a ZC map on a chip.

Is the motor OBD0 or OBD1?

Do you have the intermediate shaft?

Do you have the axles(zc requires b series axles)?

If it is a 92+ hydro trans then it won't have the ZC gears like the OBD0 cable trans does. Also some of the hydro ZC trans did have the equal length axles and would require custom axles if he wanted to use it.

Also the d15 ecu will not "run" that motor very well. Get that ECU chipped and get a map put on it or get a ZC ECU but good luck finding one.

I doubt that a DOHC zc motor will "run well" with a d15 ecu. It only runs "OK" with a d16 ecu.

so I need b series axles.. I can get those.
I found a site that sell chips for my stock ecu to make it run the engine like its supposed to.. but I have everything but axles n ecu for the swap but I have access to many options

I want more info on this project you have. OBD1/0 ZC engine, also what trans for sure do you have. Best way to tell is take your axle and put it into the side of it and if it fits you are good, if not then you have a bit of work to do.

Do you have the intermediate shaft with that trans or not?

Cable or Hydro trans?
