Default D16A1 Rebuild Parts for D16A8 (European)

Hello,

this is my first post in this forum and my english is not the best (=
I'm from Austria in Europe and i'm searching for rebuild parts for my D16A8.
The D16A8 was found in the European CR-X from 1989-1991 (also know as CR-X ED9)
So can anybody tell me if this rebuild kit fits the D16A8 DOHC?
And if not please tell me what parts of this kit does not fit?
Or is there an other kit like this on Ebay that fits the D16A8 DOHC?

86 89 Acura Integra D16A1 1 6L DOHC Engine Kit HEKD16D | eBay

Regards,
Flo

Yes, that will work just fine. If you are rebuilding the engine just as a stock rebuild, I would still seriously recommend you also pick up a set of NPR P29-style pistons. They are far superior to the stock pistons. You will get more power and they are designed better to prevent some of the more outstanding flaws of the stock pistons. They are also very reasonably priced.

the timing belt in the D16A1 kit won't work on the D16A8

you need this timing belt:

Ok sounds good
So everything from the D16A1 kit should fit the D16A8 except the Timing Belt?
Are the D16A1 gaskets the same as the D16A8 gaskets?

@ jlicrx

Why should the timing belt from the Prelude B20A5/B21A1 fit the D16A8?
Do they have the same numbers of teeths?

yes, the D16A8, D16A9, D16Z5 and DOHC ZC all use the same belt as the Prelude Si - 124 teeth - Honda OEM part numbers for them are all the same
