Default Shifter Play after DIY Manual Trans Rebuild

I am in the process of changing the main shaft bearing in my '96 Honda Civic LX manual transmission.

I have pulled the tranny, replaced the bearing and mounted the tranny back on the engine with some minimal mounting bolts to test the shifting.

Issue: The shift knob has full travel left to right after I choose a gear.

I'm wondering if someone knows I made a mistake in the tranny rebuild. It may tighten up after I fully mount the trans and engine, but I'm concerned as the play is way too much.

Disregard. The play was coming from a simulated bitch pin.
