Problem with this is after u soak it the strength integrity goes out the window and the same thing happrns again so i just replace it with a thin sheet of wood and cut it out and. And glue the carpeting on it
sorry i would rather have oem in there other then some wood and caroet that dont match. and being reinforced it should be better, and be even better when the spare tire is back in there also
^ i know what i'm doing over the winter break, fixing that POS, mine got wet cause my trunk leaks a little bit and from the most recent amount of rain and the 7 autocross events that were in the rain its fucked. wood here i come
ah only read the first post and looked at the pix. But yea i gotten tired of that crap and just got some plywood and cut it to fit over the middle part and then glued the carpet to it.
Later on i plan to cut the wood to fit prefect and then cut it in half and use some hinges so it works like stock.
I used a thin piece of wood, but I didnt think of gluing the carpet. This is after fixing the trunk leak, both my tail lights and the vents behind the rear bumper were leaking. inch:
