Default Diy D15b swap to 94 civic

Its been a long time and i have been procrastinating typing this up so ill get right to it. i pulled my d16z6 and threw in a d15b vtec

They sent me this first so i had to send it back all the way to New York
Boy was i mad at jack from jdm.

i almost cried. luckily the $450 shipping quote for me got dropped to $275 through jacks account with rl carriers
ne who
the tools i used $40 tool set well not the whole set just socket 10 through 18 short and deep couple big boy ratchets and a nice breaker bar (not all shown) really i didnt use as many tools as i thought i needed

engine lift from harbor freight and racing jack

I started by swappint the wire harness i was surprised to c that they gave me a complete harness. i was jdm tho its made for the battery to b on the right side of the bay.

i started by draining the oil antifreeze and tranny fluid via axle removal

Disconnected power steering and ac hoses. wish i would've swapped ac compressors, jdms ac comp. hose slots r upside down but ahh wdh.

disconnected the fpr, and hoses from the intake

bitch pin banged i went to the hardware store and bought a couple of punches they werent long enough and i put a steel rod on top of the punch so i could hit it downwards. i couldnt get enough swing with the hammer from under the car

exhaust disconnected

rear mount next. i couldn't get the breaker bar in under the car so i went in through the top, and used another ratchet to break the bolts loose

passenger side mount

front mount driver side forgot pic of the passenger side front mount

for the chain attachments i bolted on chain to the back of head. and to the bracket that holds the line that goes to the clutch cylinder. sucks cause i scratched the hell out of my engine bay. never again, level the load with the tranny all the way in the air. helps to have a friends push the chains towards the driver side before u life it to hel the driver side front mount clear the bay with out doing a whole lot of damage

header swap. the old 1 wire o2 sensor wont work use your old one.

in she goes

now dont forget to check and make sure your driverside mount will line up. mine did not, cost me daylight in my swap, had to remove and swap the damn thing use your old one.

that cost me a lot of day light(driverside mount swap) but i have a headlight haha $20 bux. needless to say nighfall did not stop me, that is until the thunder storm cam at 3 am lightning and tools i dont think so. the following morning i put on the final touches and put in the tranny fluid i bought a tool tool from auto zone that makes that process a lot easier.o yeah, dont forget your bitch pin. i re used my old one but i would recommend getting a new one from honda.

i did this when it was 98 outside and as you see there is no shade on my street, had to hurry and finish before monday so i wouldnt get in any trouble cause i dont have a liscence and the cops suck around here well everywhere but wth. id like to thank the d series community for providing me with much useful information. i wouldnt have done this myself with out the d so for you all i share my experience. thanks.
