Question Taillight wiring?

I've got a 88 civic hb and tring to put on 91 taillightsl i have found out the connectors did not match up. so i have cut them of to connect it the getto way.

Yeah I don't know what needs to be wired? Just take the bulbs out and install the new lights....

The plugs are different. So he needs the pin placement.
You can just depin the 89 plug into the 91 wires.

I just went through this and have the wire order at the house. Repinning is easy, ill get them in the morning for you if you dont get it by then, im working now until 2am.

btw, i would repin not cut and splice, its easier, neater and faster.

Actually all the colors are the same so just pull the pins out of the 90-91 plug and put them in the same place/color slot that the 88-89 color wires are in.

And a side note, the 90-91 tail lights in the hatch back don't bolt right in to the 88-89 you will have to cut away some body for the additional light.

Im still looking for the pin placement i wrote down somewhere, but here is a link to a bunch of specs on the car, just scroll down towards the bottom of page 1 and it explains which wire is for what. automotiveforums.com
