Default 88-89 and 90-91 dash harness

i got a bunch of ef hatch dash harness laying around and was wondering if anyone knew how to tell the 88-89 from 90-91.

look at the cluster plugs. what color are the plugs

easy way to tell what cluster you have, trace the tach signal. see if it goes to pin 11 or 12 of the plug

would it be possible to repin the 88-89 harness to the90-91 and use the 90-91 gauge cluster???

yes you can. however, 3 or 4 wires need to be run from one plug to the other, so those select wires would need to be made longer
