Default 1995 Honda prelude dash cluster issues...

hey guys
i'd like y'all to meet Elanor my prelude ive had since 1998. its an all original unmolested prelude special edition with 90k original miles. its been in and out of storage for about 15 years.

a few years ago i needed Elanor because one of my fleet was down for some reason and i noticed the dash cluster was not working, so i put the car up until i had some free time this summer to disassemble everything to attempt to diagnose.

this is what ive found

pic of known good board

another transistor that popped! on the main board.

pic of all components main and sister board in there relative locations

any insight as to what underlying issue could be causing this would be great. ive had to use my trip meter to gauge when to fuel up and its just getting old.
