Default Charging warning light comes on above idle

Hi!

I just washed the underneath of the car.
Unfortunately the charging lamp now comes on on any rpm above idle.

I haven't got a multimeter to check voltage at the moment.

Anyone knows what this is??

Check alternator output above idle, probably fried the alternator while cleaning the engine bay.

While this is certainly possible, I have shampooed many engine bays, including mine several times, and have yet to see an alternator fail as a result of it getting hosed off. I don't take any special care to avoid getting them wet, but I also don't intentionally blast it with the jet setting or use a pressure washer.

Make sure the belt is not slipping and check all connections in the charging system, battery terminals and grounds. If problem persists, go get an AVR test done.

Funny enough, Honda did a writeup on how to do that because it is one if the most difficult things to do to...

I usually spray them running and let them run for a bit so the heat evaporates off any pooling water. Seems to work ok so far for me.
