1995 Del Sol Si
9.5 1/8 (which i think is high 14's in the 1/4)
D16Z6: 55 shot, ractive intake and muffler, HP 4 to 1 headers, 2.25 piping from the cat back, port and polished head that was shaved a little, denso iridiums, street tires, a warn stock clutch with 110,000 miles on it, and the timing was probably off( since my non mechanic ass did the timing on it)
Currently the motor is at a performance/machine shop gettin some goodies and basically a full rebuild. SRP pistons and rings(.002 overbore and 10.5 to 1 compression) and Eagle rods. For the head I'm going with a Zex Cam 59300, hayame cam gear, zex valve springs. I'm replacing the HP headers and going with DC's 4 to 1. I haven't yet figured out what chip/ecu program or clutch I want to go with. I'll up my shot to a 100 shot once I upgrade my fuel. Last but not least a new tire and wheel package(i'm rollin on stockers). If there's anything I'm forgetting to upgrade plz let me know(like pulleys, but i heard they don't do shit, or upgrading the spark/ignition). My goal is to run 12's in a streetable, full interior, single cam sol.
Any suggestions???

[email protected] kph (around 90 mph)
1993 Honda Civic ESi

This was way back January, the only time we timed it. Since that time I got more added, or replaced some with better ones (filter and intake specifically). And when we timed it 4 people were in the car (me, my bestfriend, and his brother and sister), so the time might actually be faster if we're only 2.

Mods then:
Simota filter and short ram
5 Star high tension wires
Splitfire sparkplugs
custom (4" tip) exhaust

No 4-1 header and 2" pipings yet, and since then I have sold the Simota filter and intake for a K&N filter and Iceman short ram (well, it's really part of a CAI, but I bought it second hand and the extension's missing), plus recently I installed AEM pulleys and cam gear, as well as have a high lift, high duration cam. So I would think the time's improved since then. Tires are still stock (stock 13s).

It's not a race--we just timed it on a dark stretch of road, and we'd do it again, but it's a quite busy road so I decided not to risk it. I'll have to time it again and see how it improved.

You timed it with a G TEC?.......they are close but not as presice as
at a sanctioned drag strip.

95 EX coupe
AEM CAI
DC 4-2-1 Header
BBK 62mm TB
2.25in. cat back exhaust
no rear seats, gutted trunk
Kuhmo 711's @ 30psi - I don't like these tires, but they were cheap :P

15.7xx at 87.xmph (don't have the time slips in front of me)

That's with my lackluster 2.3 60ft time - the tires suck, and I furthermore can't drive

I'll try it again in a month or two with less weight and some boost

Well, what we did was more like gauge how the car would go rather than get an accurate reading. Yes, there's a +/- differnce of around .2, so it could be greater or lesser than that, but as it is it's not a bad time, considering the mods placed then.

man dont laugh i did not know what the hell i was doing and that was w/ the motor out of the crate no mods at all. I still suck, I am going back this weekend to see if i cant pull at least a high 15. what do you guys think i should do to improve , i think my 60' times are eaten' my ass up. i launched the first time w/ 35lbs. of tire press. front and back i know put the front down to 22-25lbs. and i took off from 1500 rpms, second run my trap speed was even higher w/ a lower et than the run i posted, i guess if i can get outta' the hole quicker than it seems that my speed is reallypicking upafter 1/8 mile, I dont know somebody give a brother some sugg.
