Default Tapping/ DIY questions

CDM D17a1 nonvtec, starting to get lifter tick i thinks, i want to try and adjust the valves, anyone know of a good diy for this on these engines? Thanks in advance

look under the hood. There should be a setting for your engine. .007 intake .009 exhaust, or something near that.

there is a jam nut around the lash adjuster, takes i think a 12mm and a flat head, pull your VC its all right there.

dont do it and put a z6 or b series in it. Easiest swaps ever and thanks guys, can anyone comfirm firing order? is it 2431 starting from passenger side?

I wouldn't recommend a d17 non vtec. Go with a d16y8 or d16z6 .. or go b-series if you got super deep pockets full of cash. I'm running a d16y8 with z6 crank myself
