Default 7th gen exhaust manifold crack woes

well my 7th gen civic has them exhaust manifold crack woes. it was not enough that my 6th gen had this problem and now it is happening again.
why doesn't honda design and make a good exhaust manifold ?
what is a cheap fix? swap out for a fleabay race unit?

Welding, unless done correctly will crack again. ive used thermo-epoxy and it worked for about 6 months, i would suggest it if you have to get smogged or something.

I have no experience with the ebay knockoffs, but my gut tells me they are trouble.

Take it to a muffler shop and have them weld it

your new one might crack also. i think why there is a alot of cracked manis cause of the exhaust mounts not being placed in the right places.

Just weld it up. Its not cast, so its eazy peezy. Even if it was cast, preheat, groove out crack, crank settings and lace the crack. haha

i seen some guys use jb weld on those cracks lol!
