Have you checked with skunk2? I think some people even swapped a y8 manifold on the d17 motors also.

Skunk2 doesn't make a mani that fits the 7thgen. you can get the y8 to fit but it takes some modification and you usually throw an engine light for the EGR. or you can get a custom made one and skunk2 is too long it hits a bunch of stuff on the firewall if you modify one to fit

You can do a y8 just need to do some welding. You need a custom TB adapter so that you can run a D17 TB on the y8 and you need to cut off the flange where the y8 mounts the engine and weld on a d17 flange. This will stop a check engine light for an egr. There is a few more things to do, but those are the major ones.

you don't have to cut off the flange and weld on a d17 flange you can just bore out the holes a little bit and it will fit.

You are right, but if you want to avoid the egr issue the flange swap is the ticket.

You are right on that one I am saving for that right now. My car is fun with low boost but I want to go a little higher and stop the check engine light.
