Default D15Y3 fuel economy issue

Hello

I have a 2005 Civic which comes with a D15Y3. It's like the D17 but a 1.5L variant. It's Non-VTEC and is an automatic. The car is drinking fuel like a V8 and it's really hurting my pocket. I've cleaned air filter so far and cleaned my plugs but it seems to make no difference. My driving is really serene and the tranny shifts well before 3k rpm.

The car runs nice so I'm pretty sure it's not the brakes.

I'll have a look into the injectors and O2 sensor.

Apparently the car does not have an O2 sensor because I really don't see one anywhere near the exhaust :/

should be further down way after the header. Should see 2 o2 sensors underneath there.

What do you mean it runs good? Aren't you talking about poor gas mileage? Get that bitch in the air and start poking around, should be easy to find if you inspect each system listed above.
