Default d15b then and d15b now

hey i was wonder ing if the d15b engine that comes in the crx and older civics are the same as my 2004 civic d15b. Do they use the same internal parts. Like cams pistons etc.

Question

can u just check the code on the engine block?

its on the left side on the front of the engne block beside exhaust manifold pipes, just take some cloth and rub dust and dirt from that area - you should see some letters and numbers. If its D15B it will be something like this just D15B stamped instead

Visual inspection may give you more info. The code may lead you in the wrong direction if its only d15b. Its it a d15 version of the d17? Or something weird
