Default D16Y7 - What transmission should I get.

I did a motor swap to a b18c and boosted it.. and sadly it blew.

I put my d-series back in and I am interested in boosting it but my stock transmission is crapping itself and rattling / grinding when it goes into 3rd.

What transmission should I buy / where would i find one ? I want an upgrade from the transmission i have now possible LSD ?

You can get a JDM d15b trans with lsd from hmotorsonline.com it costs around $400. If you dont need an oem lsd then just find a Si or EX transmission from a 92-00 civic (ex or si) and use it and buy and aftermarket diff.

IMO, I say get the Z6 or Y8 transmission and if your really wanting an LSD, get the one from OBX. I'm sure you can find one on here after you get enough posts for the FS threads.

Hahaha. Yeah, you have a good point there. Honestly, I think its kinda pick and choose with OBX, both their exhaust and intake manifolds are the suck, but I haven't heard of too many problems with their LSD's. tranzex seems to like them.

ITs just my opinion to each his own, I would just rather spend a little more money ONE time then less money on the same part over and over again, plus when you buy quality you get NO WORRIES

Heres a link for the Quaife diff...

http://www.optionsauto.com/prodinfo....ber=Q-60309155

I couldn't find the link for the transmission on H Motors, but they are definitly a great place to buy from. I got my D15B longblock from them and it was almost mint.

Quaife is the brand of the LSD unit....its for racing applications more so than daily commuting, the OEM LSD will be fine for everyday driving wether spirited or going to Walmart. Start with the oem unit you can always upgrade later and with OEM you still get quality
