Default dx vs si vs zc cable tranny war

i just got my crx in the works for the z6 motor swap.....is the gear ratios any different form the dx tranny from the si trany?? and if they are what are they??? is there going to be a shitload of a difference form the dx tranny form the si....or should i just spend the extra dollars and get the zc tranny? i know it has the equal lengh shafts so that helps and that you can get a kick ass tranny if you trhow the si final drive in there??

also what are the lsd options with these trannys??? anyone???

Very tru.....ok...the z6 is going to a fi engine with naws.....it has endyn 10.1 c/r pitons and
Eagle rods.....pnp z6 head with cam and ti retainers and valve springs.....

goals in mind...weekend drag car and my daily driver.....

Gas miliege is of no concern since I work walking distance from my house.....so the car only sees about 1 mile a day....I drive my wife car on the weekend so....I don't mind having tiiite gear ratios or a high f/d...I want it 2 hook(lsd is floating in my mind) and not break trannys......

So what's you think?

ZC/SI hybrid for the win.

I'm going to run a ZC tranny on my d15b1 (mpfi delta 272 cam I/H/E)...i'll see how that goes, if I dont like it, i'll look into the ZC/SI hybrid.

Eagle rods.....pnp z6 head with cam and ti retainers and valve springs.....

goals in mind...weekend drag car and my daily driver.....

Gas miliege is of no concern since I work walking distance from my house.....so the car only sees about 1 mile a day....I drive my wife car on the weekend so....I don't mind having tiiite gear ratios or a high f/d...I want it 2 hook(lsd is floating in my mind) and not break trannys......

well the zc tranny has good gear but the fifth gear sucks
the si tranny has very short gear u will be at 60mph in fifth gear but a way better response
the dx is a good tranny if u want to go for turbo and such

i have the si tranny on my crx and in the 1/4 mile im almost done with 4th gear
in my zc motor

best bet stay with DX TRANNY

if its going to be a drag car i dont think hed want the dx
i dont know much about the zc tranny so ill say get the si tranny at least. someone else can say which one is the better between the zc and si

even if it is a street car id go with the SI. i cant complain about my SI tranny, nice close gears, n/a i got 36mpg city and 40+ mpg highway. even turbo i still get 30mpg. nothing wrong with that

ok i was think of just droping the si tranny in there....does any one know the gear ratios in the si tranny and the dx?? its only for drag so i dont really care about mpg...and when its on the spray i know its gonna run thru the gears even faster...

with some 14 inch nitto drag on hx's and some spray....you think the zc tranny with the si final drive be able to make down the 1320 with out toping out??

with the spray on the si tranny u will just spin the tires if u use the spray is use the dx tranny i went from a an si tranny to the dx its not much of a difference in the 1/4 mile but its a way better chance in getting all that high end torque honda put out at high rpms
if u want the gear ratios click on the link it will tell u

hold up....i just looked at the si and dx gear ratios and there the same shit except the f/d....i didnt know that...i thought it was just different gear ratios and same f/d....

Dude, that's like 125mph when your done with 4th and pulling 11sec 1/4.

I ran my 91 hatch two weeks ago. D16Z6(stock internals) and a DX tranz. I was mad about the 1/4 mile times. NOOOOO TRACTION even with NEXEN ZR rated tires that were 2" taller and 2 1/2" wider than stock. The two best runs 16.025, 16.069 and the worst 16.767. Soon to put in si final drive and lsd and some slicks.

I've got up to 138 in fifth on my d16a1. I guess my tranny will only bolt to my block correct. A bit nicer than the ZC for daily driving.
