Default S20 transmission (P20/A0000) transmission question

Hi fellow DSO,

I found a hydro trans out of an Malaysian market EH3 civic which come with D16 carb engine. The label in front of the transmission housing is S20-1605695 and at the back i found a casting which says P20/A0000.

I've counted the final drive today, it is 4.05. Do you think this is the same trans as USDM dx?

I will be swapping the 3/4/5 gear out with L3 from EF8 dohc zc. Will the dx 2nd gear be any good for a 400whp D16? Im afraid it will drop out of boost between 1st-2nd shift as the dx's 2nd seem very long..

Is the stock dx ratio good for street and occasional 1/4 mile?

I google and found there is so much variant of A0000 trans..hope someone can help..

Sorry for the bad english, im from Malaysia. This is my first post here but been reading for a while..great info out there..

Did you search about the B000 then?

B000=Si
A000=Dx/LX(4dr)
Im not sure if CX/HX have a different one, haven't looked into that.

The DX trans is pretty long geared, and I'm sure you can find videos of redline shifts in a A000 trans on youtube.

just searched..

B000 = 40mm = d16z6 trans
A000 = 35mm = dx/etc

so this mean dohc zc diff will only fit B000 trans?

B000 diff use the same drive shaft size as A000. correct?

in order to use zc intermidte shaft, i will have to get a B000 trans, swap in the dohc zc diff. is this information correct?

sorry for so many questions..im not familiar with D series trans..
