Ordered some blue and green LEDs so I can do some night flying. Everything should be in by Friday, but I go hunting Saturday but going to try and get some stuff done Friday if everything comes in as should
Took I out still testing my range and video down link and everything went well. Went to finish off the battery and end up setting down a bit hard. Broke a prop but all is well
Well I went over board on my. As it will lift a DSLR, but only carries my gopro, gimbal, and FPV stuff, which I may have fried my VTX. Not getting any picture and my mini iOSD is showing a solid red.
I'm running a 5000mah 30 or 35c 4s. Get minimal 15-20 minutes with sunnysky 3508 380kv from buddyrc
I'll upload the video I made yesterday. Needless to say it ended bad but only minor damage.
Well, I didn't properly secure my GPS mount and it went flying off causing all sorts of flight issues (I was flying in GPS mode), if I was in altitude mode and flying around or in manual mode then it wouldn't have been such an issue.
As far as height, I have no idea. If I had to guess then I would say a couple hundred feet up.
If I would have have my FPV stuff up and going I would have went cloud surfing yesterday as the ceiling was low
They make smaller ones for a helluva lot cheaper than what I got into mine. Realistically you can spend under 500 into one and be up in the air. Or you can spend upto 4k plus.
Its all about signal strength and interference. For my video stuff, we are looking around a mile or so at my current location (due to interference from cell towers). the 900mhz stuff is good upto around 10km or more with good antennas and next to nothing for interference
My 2.4ghz radio system abour a mile, mile and a half period. 2.4ghz doesn't have that much range, so later down the road I do plan on switching over to 433mhz for my radio system.
