Think of it like this the -3 restricts the flow due to size of the line go with a bigger line and it will supply more oil and pressure. Because the car is seeing 90psi does not mean that the oil feed has the same pressure

I don't think so with this application.........but think what ya want........bigger hose is less restriction which would be more pressure

anyway, im not mr brainy guy or anything like that, but here are my thoughts.
With a motor at idle we will say it has 20psi of oil pressure. Now since my oil feed is at the same place as my oil pressure unit, it wouldnt matter if the oil was feed into a line or not, if both were plugged, the line would just feel up with oil, then return to 20psi. 20psi on a -3 line and 20psi on a -4 line is the same, 20psi is 20psi. Now both lines would have a .065 restrictor, therefore letting the same amount of oil into the turbo. In my opinion it wouldnt matter the size of the line because the pressure will be the same, the motor doesnt increase the oil pressure if more oil is in the line. Im not sure if liquids are the same as gases, but I know the smaller the hole, the more pressure/air will come out of that hole, just like when you have a blower at the end of the line to blow stuff off tools, motor,s cars, etc, you find a small reducer to put on the end and the air will blow harder. |

yea, its the same amount of water, yet the hole got smaller so the pressure went up, therefore making the water to farther, but not as much water, the water that was going out is now kept in the hose and thats what makes the pressure go up. So if you have a small hose and a big hose, both with the same about of water coming out before you put your finger on it...which one do you think will have the most pressure when you cover the end

There might also be something that your missing or not seeing. There is a reason they tell you to use -3 instead of -4. Look at the BW S turbo's they use -4 because they dont care about the extra oil being supplied by the bigger line plus they need the oil. Now look at all the other companies most everyone uses -3 and its usually recommended hope you figure the leak out.....
