OK so I've been away from here for a while. In January I bought an '09 Honda Fit Sport with nav. It was a great car, but my ex killed it after just 9 weeks of driving 03/25. WTF?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...g?t=1243512680 I drove a complete scraper '93 Toyota pickup for 6 weeks before picking up my new baby. Say hello to Jada, my 1999 Mazda Miata, base model 5-speed with only 94K miles. Its pretty rare since '99 was the only year you could still get a base model after the NB / 2nd gen redesign. The most noticeable changes are the fixed headlights & standard glass rear window vs NA's (90-97 Miatas.) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I totally love this car! Its light & nimble like any good old Civic or CRX, but near 50/50 weight balanced & RWD too! I'm tired as crap, just installed a Racing Beat header & already have an intake, removed the AC & PS & painted the stock 14"s black. The big debate in my mind is what this car will end up running, a turboed to Uranus stock 1.8L BP4W or an LSx GM V8 swap... both have their advantages but for now the engine's gonna stay N/A Mazda but with TONS of suspension/wheels/chassis & hopefully a hardtop. Well off to dreamworld.. where all the cars I've killed/let die are waiting to run again...

I had a 90 1.6l back in the day, that thing was on point, but had to sell it cause everybody thought it was gay, no matter how low it was and how loud the exhaust was. Laughter everywhere. Ill give it a year before you sell it.

Okay so Jada is way less of a fagal car now. I hope to change the stereotype towards Miata's around here.. But it's all good, a downshift to 3rd @ 65, stabbing of brake & gas simultaneously & a quick whip to the steering wheel & I always feel better...

OK so I through a rod on the original '99 block last September, & replaced it with a shady '03 that had a spun bearing. I then replaced that block with a similar '01 block & everything was gravy until my fuel pumped died yesterday... back to temporary hibernation. Mazda builds an excellent chassis but their piston engines are a few notches below Honda.
New Sheit: Body: 2001-2005 (NB2) Front end conversion (Bumper & projector headlights) DDM Tuning/Apexcone Raptor V2 HID's: ballasted 55w, 5000K D1S bulbs OEM NB2 "Sport" ground effects & rear spoiler OEM NB2 foglight grills OEM NB2 headlight bezels (painted black) Shaved front emblem, antennae delete plug Performance: Walbro 190 LPH fuel pump New mystery mandrel-bent 2.5" exhaust (painted black) **Have camshaft, need TODA gear** BP4W "ExhIntake" modification (Using more aggressive exhaust cam on intake side as well, typically adds 7-10 whp) Sorry these are all the pix I took, car's an hour away awaiting fuel pump arrival.
