I'll be honest, this fiscal cliff IS needed.

Everyone back to paying the tax rate RR instated plus the spending cuts to
the budget.

BOTH need to happen. Maybe not all at once but we will end up there.

Capital Gains Tax loopholes on stock, which I've been exploiting needs taken care of. Romeny did the same thing. Simplify the tax code and more revenue will come in.

The SS tax holiday which is ending was a joke. Sure I got an extra $600 a year out of it but how did it help/hurt the overall SS funding?

Need some balls in the White House.

Totally agreed. If you study the "80 year cycle" the economic downfall will happen, says logic. Imagine how big things would have been of the .com crash never happened; and how big of a downfall our economy would have?

The govt isn't following through with their promises, nor doing their job properly at all.

Obama promised to fix the budget; he hasn't. Instead of fixing the problem he wants to pick at the wealthy to let him continue overspending and accomplishing nothing but removing our rights and taking more control.

My friend is lucky, he has a certificate of ownership for the property he has; not titleship, ownership. Nobody can ever force any out of him or take it away unless it is transferred with a new deed created. He is one of the select few out there. Titleship ain't jack in the end. Entitlement should only come from family or friends; nowhere/nobody else.

Crap is getting thicker, faster. Ive got to the point where I have lost faith in any sort of meaningful recovery of liberty through politicians, or getting involved in the process. I will still be involved, but more as a measure to keep an active eye on whats happening.

Be prepared for this next year. it will be one that you will not forget.

If Guns Are Outlawed...

I have been pondering a couple of slogans that have been used over the years.
We have all heard, "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will own guns."
Another slogan that got my attention several decades ago and spray painted on a collage campus wall was even more clever, "When guns are outlawed, only the government will own guns."

Tonight, however, I want to set the record straight. Those of us living in the USA have the protection of the Bill of Rights and of course, we all know the teeth of our rights is the Second Amendment.
The Second Amendment is a simple amendment and easily understood by any elementary aged student.
It is not about sport shooting. It is not about hunting. It is about self defense and our responsibility to defend freedom from those enemies either foreign or domestic who threaten our republic and our way of life.
Less understood is that our rights, enumerated in the Bill of Rights, do not come from government. They are universal and come from our Creator. The Declaration of Independence states that people are, "...endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights." Government cannot give OR take these rights.
Let us correct our thinking...

Our right to keep and bear arms is guaranteed by the Law of the Land- the US Constitution, and this right is neither given by, nor can it be taken by government.
If anyone attempts to violate our right, they are the law breakers- not us- and we have done no wrong in maintaining our God given right to keep and bear arms.
If there is an attempt to outlaw firearms, those attempting to take your right are outlaws.
Keep this clear in your mind and do not fall into the trap of thinking that if you keep your weapon, you will be an outlaw. Keep your God given rights and never forget the price that was paid to secure our Constitution.

I hope everyone will re-read The Declaration of Independence:

my parents house is under an old military flight track.

there have been fighter jets training all over the bay in the past few months. sometimes going under 15k feet. very loud, very fast.

a few large choppers have been seen, but this activity is nowhere what it was during desert storm. way less. yet, surprisingly more than the last 10-15 years.

If you find yourself on the run, don't hide in a structure, best to find a cave or something that cannot be lit on fire.
