Default D16z6 intake manifold on d16y7

hey i have a d16y7 motor, and am planning to swap a ported d16z6 intake manifold with b16 throttle body. I little cheaper. But i am having trouble finding installation instructions for it. I found instructions on installing a d16y8 manifold on a d16y7. Is it the same thing , or will i have to change a few things. If i do, what would i have to modify in order to install it. If you can please give me a link to a site that has the installation instructions of a d16z6 manifold to d16y7 motor. thanks!!!!

z6 intake manifold will be pretty much the same. Use the B16 TB gasket. instead of the Y8 IAT (intake air temp sensor)being on the intake tube that connects to the TB it will be on the back of the z6 intake manifold.
Should be a pretty straightforward swap.

I've heard that swapping to the z6 or y8 mani really wakes up the y7!

definitely can see that, the y7 manifold is so stupid. I looked like a retard when I hooked up the bg system cleaner to my car, I eventually just had friend hold the nozzle in there while I hit the gas.

I was the person talked about is this topic about the smoke...simply had a problem with one of the injectors...sorted now.. D16z6 intake mainfold makes a great differnece on the y7....doesn't feel like its starving.

The y8 manifold def made a difference to my friend's y7. I think the Z6 would do the same.

Okay, so this is my first post ever...but i just did this swap today (actually it took two days ) and it really wasn't extremely hard, the only problems i ran into were that i had two open spots on the back of my manifold (i am guessing one was cruise control and the other i had no clue), so i had to custom fab some block off plates...but other than that not hard at all, and it sounds AWESOME! o and its a bit quicker too
