Default Fuel meter gauge pegged full most of the time

Just wondering what I'm missing here. My evap purge solenoid is broken lol & is the only thing I can think of.

Meter sometimes drops and reads correctly.

* mods I'm waiting for " approval " of another thread I posted in this section. Hope this thread makes it through since I kept from posting a pic.

I disabled ( pulled ) my evap purge solenoid / sensor & capped off the IM where it was plugged into. Fixed the vacuum leak & cut off some of the engine smell lol

Also fixed my choppy boost gauge.

What it did not fix is my gas meter gauge reading high all the time. Will update once I figure this out.

The sending unit or gauge could be bad. You can test the sending unit with a dovm

if it's pegged up all the time, the wire on the gauge itself is frequently broken by over-tightening. if you've messed with the cluster at all that may be the culprit. otherwise, sending unit and so on.
