Default No spark

Car was sitting for a while before I bought it when I try to start it just cranks then I noticed no spark so I traced it to the coil and I replaced it and nothing then I got another coil of a single cam and it sparked but when I hooked up cap and rotor it didn't have anymore spark and I took it back off and coil had no more spark what could be the cause that's 3 coils that just "die" it's getting power to it. Thank you
