I know this is a personal question, but I'm closing in on the $6,000 mark and don't even have a running vehicle. lol. This is including purchasing everything from the turbo components to building the motor. I figure I have at least a couple grand left to come up with including tuning.

over the years all the money I've put into my car, with all the motors and shit, I hope it's not more then $3000.
I'm bad with accounting, I couldn't tell you how much I put into my current rebuild or my turbo setup.

My "drag car" I have about oh god 5-6 k into it and it doesnt even idle. Ugh.

I don´t want to think about the money I spent on my hatch, but a lot of money, for me.
And I have to get bigger injectors, and maybe a bigger turbo on december. And this week I have to paid the balance on the paint job, but about 6K maybe more

I'm a do-it-yourselfer. I've done everything myself except the machine work. One hurdle I'm having to overcome is the fact that I bought a shell with no motor/trans/axles/shift linkage/mounts/etc and I'm having to come up with all the little things including nuts and bolts. I basically started out in December with a 91 si shell and a d16y8 block and head with a spun rod bearing.
There is a little light at the end of the tunnel though. As of Friday, I'm no longer a Ford technician. Start at Honda tomorrow. More pay, better benefits and a nicer shop. Not to mention access to all the little things I will need.

When I say that, I'm including the cost of car, rims, interior, bodywork and previous turbo setups and previous blown parts.
