Thanks to all!!

Everyone at the track was like "jeez, your 3rd gear is retarded long, did you even shift to 4th?" Yeah, right at the line!!

Last year on the other tranny I was crossing the line near the top of 4th, now on the stock tranny I'm just grabbing 4th.

I can't even recall if I've ever seen any video of another mid 10 second honda doing the 1/4 in 3 gears. Has anyone else?

Wow.... I just read through all 12 pages of this madness. Mad kudos to everything you have done here I just got back into the honda seen and this is as good of inspiration as you can get. Thanks for posting up your info and its cool you are actually answering peoples questions instead of some build threads. Right on man hopefully she holds together does multiple 9 second passes.

If i can't find anyone here in Tacoma to burn me a p28 chip leaned out a bit in a few days i'll totally stop by speedfactory and get one from you guys.

Awesome hatch dude, its really nice.

10.5 open diff, can't complain about that ! lol

What management are you guys running again? When i watched the video, i was surprised you didnt have full throttle shifting setup. Bang those gears out haha.

And that is intense your getting to 138mph in thrid gear on a z6 trans.lol

Hey awesome job! and the car is fucking bad as shit! i kind of dont understand this tho...ur running a stock z6 right now and u crossed the end of the quarter barely shifting into 4th...so this is because ur reving it out to almost 10k correct? and on ur good tranny u made ur 3rd and 4th shorter or longer? also another question...any reason why u went with a small sidewall this time or is it just cuz of the wheels that u wanted? i kinda thought u would of kept a thicker side wall.. 13" wheels vs 15" for lower psi and cushin...either way im in for some 9sec runs!

The car is on Hondata S300. We had FTS(full throttle shift) hooked up, but it was causing the car to bog badly on the shifts. The cut/resume time is too slow. I'm going to play with the settings a bit more and see if I can get it to do what I want, if not I'll just FTS it on my own.

This car runs 10's no matter what, it did all last year. It's the low 10's that take a bit more work. I hope to be the first into the 9's on vitara's and no wheelie bar.

As far as needing more power, maybe just a hair more. These runs were an absolute worst case scenario, believe me. We really only took it out to get a few datalogs and try to get my licensing passes done (which didn't happen. ) There's a ton left in it.

You've got to realize that the car on these runs just spun tires all of 1st and 2nd, with 3rd being the only gear to lay some actual power down. Due to how far it dropped the rpms, the car was only laying down an AVERAGE power level of mid 400's on these runs.

According to the datalogs, the car was only in the 500+whp range for 2.5 secs at the top of 3rd gear.

Just watch how much the ET drops and MPH goes up with the tranny change, you'll be amazed! It will trap 140+ at this same power level.

Yes, the good tranny has tighter ratios (better rpm drops), as well as being much shorter in 3rd and 4th.

The tires are 24.5 x 8.5 x 15 M&H's. Rev limiter at 9500rpm.

These tires are definitely taller than the 24.5 x 8.5 x 13 M&H's I ran last year though judging by how much more they fill the wheel well. And yeah, I wanted these wheels so I had to run the 15's.

Adding in tire growth I believe these are about 25.25" in dia. on the top end which works out to 134.3mph at 9500rpm in 3rd.
