Question OBD1 ecu for a Y7???

Hey,
I'm looking to convert my 1998 D16Y7 OBD2 ecu to a OBD1.... What ECU should I use? My mods are a ported head, Y8 intake manifold, Delta 272 cam, Bisimoto header (hopefully I can find one)... I have the original injectors from the Y8 intake manifold. Would I be able to use them in this conversion without chipping the new ECU? Would there be any gains? What model of OBD1 ecu would be the best for my application? Would I be able to use it as is without chipping it with the stock Y7 injectors? Would there be gains? Later on where would I be able to get it chipped? (someone reputable from the board?) Any conversion harnesses that someone would reccomend? Thanks.

Ryan.

P06 would be one choice. Won't see huge gains, but most likely a little bit of a gain

I'm considering the option of going obd1 with my y7 too.

Setup - z6 IM, z6 rail, z6 fpr, and some bolt-ons.
Thinking of going with the z6 injectors too, and converting to obd1 and running a p28.

Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts here? will this setup work fine with my y7 engine?

I'm getting a stock z6 head (with stg 1 cam) at a later point too i think.. .that's mainly why i wanted the p28 obd in my car.

Ryan.
You can use a p28 and run crome/uber/neptune and just disable vtec. Then later on if you plan on getting a y8 head, you can activate vtec easily.

Is it possible to run a VAFC and run vtec off the VAFC unit and just not engage it... or make it engage @ 15k or something? and just run the p28 with no special tuning?
