I am interested in finding out how much the stock valves weigh. I have an uncomfirmed spec of 50g for the intake valves.
Anyone got anything else? Thanks.

Sebastian-
If you could weigh the stock intake and exhaust valves, I would be very appreciative! I am trying to figure out which aftermarket valves would be good for my application, and I want to compare weights to the stock valves.

No Problem Dude... My camera and the Valves are in my Garage, to the evening i weight it and make Pictures of that. I think the 1mm Oversize Valves from supertech are good, what dit you think? ![]() Head Diameter: 30.50 mm (0.5+) Stem Diameter: 6.57 mm Length: 105.40 mm Coating: Black Nitrided The shafts are smaller, and the valve head is bigger... |

i believe he said they are 1.0mm over-sized, i do know he was boring out each valve area to accommodate the new valve size. i'll post pics when i get it back.

Sebastian-
Thanks! That will be very helpfull, as long as I can find some information on what the weights of the aftermarket valves are. Oh, which engine are these valves out of? I am just making sure. Supertechs are REALLY nice pieces, especially for the price. I will most likely use them on my next two builds. However, I am not qualified at this time to say if you should use oversized valves or not. On some heads, with stock cylinder bore diameters, flow can actually decrease with larger valves, and you only see the true benefits of the larger valves when you open up the bores to 78mm (after the engine is sleeved) and can de-shroud the chamber next to the valves. 95 ZC- That would be some ore good information to have. Whever you get to it, thanks!

Yes the price is realy good.
I think the next head i built with the Valves. I will drive the head on a 76mm block, with an portet head and the crespo H4 cams with the other stuff. The Valves comes from a D16Z5 Head. I weight D16A9 Valves too, its the same weight |

Thanks!
76mm is a step in the right direction. I would LOVE to sleeve my block and go 78mm, but my wallet doesn't like the idea. =)

Right. My wallet is to small for that Im not sure what i built. The block with 76mm P29 or a block with the endyn pistons and eagle rods. The things for that are all on my table... I will going N/A. With itb`s to 8500 + Rpm. And this is to much for the stock rods. |

Endyn pistons for sure with those goals. Just make sure you wack the head a bit to get some decent quench to make tuning it a bit easier. I would probably go with the mid-domes, zero deck them and then trim the head to get a decent amount of sqiush. A long while ago, someone made 170WHP with Endyn 78mm turbo pistons just after break-in before installing the turbo! I really might have to save up for sleeving my block! LOL!
