zc fuel rail & interchangeablity - D-series.org

would a6/y8 other d series fuel rail work on ZC IM?
i know the other D series IM are not interchangeable with the ZC so i thought it might be the case with the zc fuel rail also.

fuel rail is the same as D16A6 and D16A1

The alot of honda fuel rails are close but slightly different. The Z6/Y8 and other OBD1/2 fuel rails won't bolt up to a OBD0 intake. The A6, A1, ZC, and probably D15B2,B6, but not sure and not the B18A1. This is why on aftermarket fuel rails they have multiple bolt hole locations, so they work on anything from 88-2000.

I was thinking we had just verified that the d15b2 fuel rail (or lack thereof) would not fit a ZC...

D16a6 fuel rail is a direct fit, but I've made a d16z6 rail work by just moving the holes to line up with the intake mani.

Good because the guy before me with this car used a y8 rail and for some reason it's leaking

I swapped injectors and still leaked inbetween the rail & injector.
The o-ring is still good too...

I'll swap over the a6 rail and see if that fixes it.

i think your ZC is OBD1, so it would use the same fuel rail as a D16Z6

your correct... i do have obd1 zc...

well it turns out my injector o-ring has a tear.... now i have to get some new ones at honda
