Question Going to buy good Car-Alarm System - need experts advice!
Hi all, building my new ride DC2 and going to install some good anti-theft alarm system with immo etc...

I am not up to date but really want to get the latest one, most hard to disarm for thieves. Want to protect my ride well..

I would really appreciate your help guys if you could give me some brands and models to go for.
Budget range up to 400$, but not necessarily the most expensive.


BTW if there would be anything important that I should know about before I choose one for my DC2, please be kind and let me know of ur experience.

Ive been seeing alot of locals with autopage alarms, and they seem to be a decnet low cost system.

Im tempted to buy one soon, in for opinions as well.

A good friend uses the paging system and remote start. He loves it.

Not cheap though.

I would not need remote start because its a manual transmission and just to avoid any misunderstandings I'd rather leave not installed, just for car safety... I had it in my EG4 civic, all was grand and never had any trouble(the remote engine start I mean) but few friends of mine were just a finger tip away of starting my cars engine while in gear... I would love all the features except remote start. As I know its an optional function so its up to owner to have it installed(active) or not...

and this is where everything is hidden, i just did a 30 minute install im gonna be selling my car and i want an easy removal, but still people arent going to know its behind the gauge cluster until now lol i put the whole thing in there, the glass mount antanna is in there everything

I want the remote start, I like to give my car a few min before driving it after i start it and this way i can do it inside before i am ready to leave so i dont have to wait.

IMO car alarms are pointless if a theif wants your car they will take it even if the alarm is going off..and you wouldnt believe the amount of people that dont pay them any attention any more because of the idiots that have one and forget to disarm it before unlocking the doors. I think that a good keyless entry and good parking habbits work just as well. Park in a well lit area under a light if possible, or with in view of a window, camera, you...Im not trying to shit on your thread or hate just my opinion..

I often will bring my ecu with me if i feel im parked in a shady area. The chances a car thief has of having a ecu that will start the car is slim to none.
