Before 2 days ago everything was perfect. Then one day protection light comes on after 5 secs after starting the car so I know the speaker is not blown. Now I got it to where the protection light doesnt come on at all, just the green light, but my speaker isnt working. What should I do?

What are you working with, so we know if its crap or not. IMO some amps just aren't worth fixing.

Its a legacy amp. I got the power green light to come on and stay without protection light coming on but for some reason my speakers will not come on. I even tried another speaker that wasnt hooked to it before and it didnt work.
Ps. I also have red and black plug ins on the low input part on the amp and into sub part on cd player. If those are bad could that be the problem? Last edited by xsubxwooferx; 02-23-2010 at 10:17 AM. |

Had a similar thing happen in my friends car, the subs seemed to not turn on at all, we checked everything (there was power to the amp). Turned out that when you blast the volume you can feel or slightly hear them workin, and we went and got a brand new amp and popped it in, loud as balls in no time!!!
1) go buy a new amp or 2) take your car to someone who knows what they're doing...theres only so much we can do over the computer, you really need someone to check it out in person...good luck!

Alright well now I got it to where the green light comes on with 25 fuse and stays on with no protection light. I tried a different speaker and it didnt work neither. I also opened amp to see if I burned or destroyed anything even by the speaker hookup and everything looked fine.
