Default Need some help with Door actuator and shock sensor install

I've got my alarm in. It was previously installed by shop. I want to install door actuators and shock sensor. Anyone do this already? I have an older viper alarm. TIA.

Ok, so what's your question? Mounting? wiring? Relays?

I was in a hurry and forgot to specify. Will I need 2 relays? One for each door and is it better to get the relay with the suppression diode? Where do you tap into for 12v constant for the relay. I don't have power doors so I have to do all the wiring. As for the shock sensor, where are they usually mounted. Thanks

does that Old Viper Alarm come with a Trunk Release Feature? (i think it does)

It should be a Gray Wire. Wire that to a Relay and the Relay out goes to the Actuator.

Does that make sense?

The Shock sensor is usually tied to the steering column or somewhere under the Dash.

You need 2 relays for the door actuators. 1 for unlock, the other for lock. Here's a basic wiring diagram for you.

http://documents.audiovox.com/701139.pdf

edit: That pic is kinda poor. I tie my grounds together and my powers together. Basically just jump them over from one relay to the other. Just tie in the second actuator wiring as it only pictures one. Sort of like this:

Need adobe to read it duh. As for where to tap for power, use the ign harness. There's an 8ga constant wire that can handle the current draw. I like to mount the door lock relays in the kick or just above the kick panel in case one fails.

The shock sensor works best when you mount it to the steering column. Zipties work fine but be sure no wires or the sensor is near any moving parts.

Well 2 wires to each actuator (4 coming off the relay). They are reversing polarity actuators.

Bizzar forgot to mention great diagram! I meant for the alarm brain. Should it have 2 outputs? One for unlock and one for lock?

ahh yes it should. Its usually a 2 or 3 wire plugin. Green/blue is the most common color.

make sure and mount that shock sensor with a screw or double stick tape to a solid piece of the car...

and turn the sensitivity down low...

under the center console is a good place to put it...extend the wires if you have to...

Phillie,

Are you trying to put Keyless entry or do you want to shave your Door Handles??

The Answer I gave you was for if you want to put Door Poppers when you shave your Door Handles lol

This is Simple. Just buy yourself a Keyless entry kit. you might have to walk around with 2 remotes tho

I'm not trying to shave my door handles. The 93 si's didn't come with electric door locks. I just want to add actuators so I don't have to use the key to open the doors. So when I dis arm the alarm the door locks open and visa versa. I think that diagram should work though. All thats left after that is the shock sensor and add a horn relay so when the alarm goes off the horn does too.
