took the wifes 04 civic ex for alignment today. they told me that the car is undrivable and would have to keep it over night. they also told me that there are parts of the suspension missing, meaning the top hat for the stock springs. i have a b&g coilover kit and it's lifted to about an inch under stock height. i did not use the top hat when i installed them. might be the problem but was pretty sure that you wouldn't have too. i was told that one steering arm would have to be cut and the other one would have to be replace because it wasn't long enough. i got the car back without them doing any work because i'm not sure about this place. i had the car slammed for like 3 years and never had a problem with the alignment until the car was involved in an accident. thats where i'm at now. i appreciate any input you might have. sorry for the long story. thanks
not long enough?
honeslty none of that really makes any sense. also when you say top hat what do you mean? the rubber ring that the spring sits in that goes INTo the top hat? the top hats are what bolts the strut to the strut tower so i doubt those were missing.

what is it that the car is doing? as of pulls (L or R) or if the steering is off?
u will have to check if there is anything bent in the front end.

let me clear this up. i guess i don't mean the top hat but the spring sits in a cup that has the upper bearing(for the strut to turn). i was told today that in order to straighten out my streering wheel they would have shorten one steering arm and make the other longer. if that makes anymore sense.
