ok i just finish swapping my tranny auto to manual the thing is that now when i turn on the car my rpm idle goes up and down.

i run the car like that to see if i mess up putting the clutch but guess what i didnt break it i shift until 5 and didnt break so i dont think is the clutch

do u guys think is the intake manifold i have the d16y7 should i swap to the d16y8 manifold?

------------------

i find out something right at this moment when i press the clutch like half way the car stay like normal there is a possibility that i mess up bleeding the clutch line which i did it by myself i will check that tomorrow

are you still using the auto ecu? it will do that and also turn on the check engine light because it doesn't see the auto tranny solenoids.

Check for vacuum leaks.

Mine was doing this too because I messed with the IACV to clean it.

WTH does this have to do with Transmissions?

Requesting a mod to move it.

because after doing auto to manual this is happening

vacuum hose or tps

Yes, but changing the transmissions has nothing to do with failure to rewire the IACV correctly or reconnect all of the vacuum lines. You do realize that the manual ECU is not configured to directly control the three wire IACV used on the automatic chassis without modification?

Even the dx/lx ecu that originally uses the 3 wire from the factory in both auto and manual trims? This is a problem I ran into while doing my 5 speed swap as well. I had a discussion with Luserkid from H-T about this and he was not really sure about it either. There really isnt any solid information (that I could find back in Oct) on whether the 3 wire iacv from an auto can be run correctly when mated with a 5 speed P2E ecu. Im currently using that setup and my idle hunts until it gets warm and sometimes idles really, really low. I even cleaned out the iacv before I did my y8 IM swap, and it still does the same thing.

OP: I have a 99 Lx as well so we're in the same boat. The y8 manifold isnt going to cure that problem, but it would be a good idea to swap to it anyways. Oh and rebleed that clutch. If I was closer to you, I would help but AL -> Orlando is a bit of a drive.

The y8 manifold isnt going to cure that problem.

It will give him a chance to go over all of his vacuum connections. There is also a possibility that there is a bad driver for the IACV within his manual ECU.

I've gone rounds with this too, but usually the car won't idle if it's the wrong IACV. I do know they are different between auto/5sp and on JDM engines it's a crap shoot which IACV you'll get. I got sick of screwing with it and had my crome tuning friend richen up the idle a little and turn the damn IACV off.
Rev-bog is usually a vacuum leak or the simply a ecu reset might be needed, but I haven't tried it on an EK yet.
Typically you warm the car up, disconnect the IAT sensor, idle goes very low. Shut car off, pull ecu fuse, wait a few minutes. Plug in IAT, and restart car.

and of course reconnect the ecu fuse right? will try this is week thanks i hope it works
