hey, I was just wondering if its possible to swap a DOHC ZC motor into an 98 Civic EX Coupe...Ideally I would want to run a hondata system on it with boost, just wondering if its possible with the OBD and mounts and stuff..could I just keep my Y8 tranny?

I'm not sure about the mounts fitting or not but I think and d-series tranny will fit any d-series engine and you have to swap some internals like you rods cause they won't handle 350whp

haha, no kidding...I'm going to sleeve, and install forged pistons and rods in any motor I build up...just exploring my options.
I'm prolly just going to build up my Y8, but for shits and giggles I was just wondering if the DOHC ZC could be swapped into a 6th gen because its such a great motor with a lot of potential if you can find parts for it. I just never new if you could swap it into a car that was OBD2...thats all.

Are you really good with mechanics I'm pretty good but I can't figure somthing out if you could take a look at the RPM JUMP post in DOHC ZC forum and give me some pointers

Yes you can do this and use your tranny, The ZC is a D-series,But i recomand you using a ZC tranny and ecu to see full potential out of the engine and make sure its a second gen motor.
