Red line For 99 DX htch???

Noob here...bare with me...Wats the red line for D16Y7?? Is it 6.5 or 6.7??? I don't have a rpm gauge so i shift by listening to the engine...is it possible to shift by looking at the mph...for instance going to 3rd gear at 35mph??? HELP thanx. I'm going to get a si cluster later when i have money...it will fit right?? this way i'll have a rpm gauge and won't have to go buy those Autometer rpm gauges with a shift light.

ya the redline for your DX is 7100, u can shift using the speedo, hit second at about 30, third about 60 and run fourth all the way to 110, then you can shift to fifth but u probably wont go any faster than that.. thats pretty close to redline in each gear. the si gauge cluster will work fine, hooks right up. or you can use the EX cluster. auto or manuel trans doesnt matter, they both work the same just the auto has the gear select box on it.

thanx everyone. I'll probably get the si gauge cluster. And WOW!!!!!!! i didn't know that the red line was that high...7100...makes me feel like my engine is powerful and is higher then what i expected. I really want a red line at 8.0-8.5 but those are b series engines right?...Is it possible to make a mini me 8.0...you just use a different ecu chip...like the gsr one right??? Well appreciate everything.
