Thinkin About Nitrous

well i swapped in a d15b and z6 auto tranny two weeks ago...(i cant use a manual tranny, sorry)

anyways i put a CAI and an Ebay Header and Cat-back on it and it feels pretty quick but suddenly im dying for more.

so im thinkin about buying a 55shot nitrous kit but im not sure how the auto tranny is gona like it. i already know to buy a big ass cooler for it but hows the tranny gona take it?

As long as it is a "wet kit" you shouldnt have any problems... Just make sure that the tranny is in good shape and take care of it... It will rock..

yeah im hoping so...i just heard that the auto trannies cant take the sudden boost in torque and it causes them to break internals and what not.

im also gona change the tranny fluid everytime i change the motor oil too

As long as the rpm's are above 3000 you should be just fine.... No need to change tranny fluid that often.. Maybe every 3 oil changes would be good

ok good to know. whats the max shot you think i can go on the auto tranny?

With a wet kit we did 80. But we let off of the button before it was going to shift. the car was stinking fast. Once its in gear, it will be fine. Its the in-between gear that you dont want the nitrous on. That will hurt the tranny.

so i need to buy something special for the nitrous kit so that i can turn it off by letting go of a button?

just get off the throttle on nitrous, the car will shift with out a load, since the zex kit is tps based, i say if your off the throttle it will shift under stock load, not in conjunction with nitrous, or get a push button switch and be done, nitrous when you need it. lol spray till you shift., idk nitrous on an auto is bunk. you should just get the greddy kit and stop being greedy and be greddy. haha < pwnd

bitch nitrous is allot cheaper than a fuckin turbo kit. if i save up enough to buy the 55 shot kit and pay for installation, then you cover the rest that the greddy kit will cost and i'll go that rout ha

just buy the greddy kit. idk why your so hell bent on nitrous, its not for auto trans, the load on shifts are gonna be greater, on turbo you wont have boost all the time, its depeniding on how you drive , you can drive for years with a turbo on auto and never really see boost. but on a tps activated switch, and accoriding to how you drive, shiiit. i see a new trans in like less tham 5 months on srpay.

aight with the way i drive i see where you're goin with this. but i wana see 180whp at most with this car. nitrous and a push button activation switch can get me there. i cant tune the greddy kit to up the psi unless i buy an afc = shitty
