Indeed he is. I've heard good things about his work, he'll probably be the guy to chip mine if he's still doing it when I get around to it.

anybody can rechip d17's ecu?

Dustin M
07-19-2007, 05:16 AM
lsturbohatch has his website in his sig! check it out

he shows nothing about chipping a PM6, i've got the same ecu, and might want to chip it instead of converting to OBD1, having to buy an ecu, and getting that chipped, even though i'd have so many more options.

That P2P can't be chipped.

I chip ECUs too.

I vouch for Miked16z6
My ecu is chipped by him.
I'm sure Boyurlazy and rexinre would also vouch for him since we have all worked together on a few cars, and we all have turbo d16's

There are 2 versions of PM6, the 88-89 and the 90-91. The 90-91 can be fairly easily chipped, however, the 88-89 is a pain and requires an adapter board.

The OBD0 ECUs are a bit tricky as you have to remove the old EEPROM before soldering in the socket. It's fairly easy to pull up a trace attempting to remove the old chip, I've damaged several OBD0 ECUs before I got the hang of it.

I've got a pm6 chipped if anyone is interested. I've had it since ghettodyne and it works. I also have a virgin pm6 and a parts spare.
