i don't have too much info on it, i was listing to the radio tonight and they talking about it... they also mention the trans Texas high way again, the one that is going to run from Mexico threw Texas and into other states or some shit... i think they said we would have to pay Spain for them building it or some shit like that... lol

Exactly. Nothing pisses me off more than the entire illegal immigration debate. There should be no debate. They broke our nations laws when they came to my country and I could give two shits less about what their sob story is. If I as an American citizen break a law, I am punished yet the politicians speak of this grand compromise.

I understand that things suck in other countries however that is not my concern and as generous as the American people and goverment are, I don't think we should feel bad for telling people to get bent every now and then. Well from my experiece in Ohio. We have what you call seasonal immigrants. Most of them are illegal and work in the fields. When i turned 14 i went to work in the fields beside them. Most of them were very nice people and easy to get along with. They would come up here for the summer and go back to Mexico for most of the year. I can say that they save the farmers money and thats about it but most of them were on welfare and food stamps(stubs all over van). Makes me wonder why Bush loves immigration.

Good point, its true that imigration when it comes to healthcare, among others is a big issue. I don't think is fair that us, Tax payers, pay for the expenses of so many people here. Not just the ilegal ones but the millions of legal ones also.

And as far as car tax goes; they don't pay tax if it was never registered. I bought my Civic from a latino guy(I'm not sure what nationality he was), but anyway; this guy was driving this car for like 4 years and it had a cardboard tag with some made up numbers, etc. and expired inspection stuff. The car was never registered; thus he never had to pay the tax for it.

I'm just typing from experience.

I hang out with Mexicans (both illegal and legal). And I do agree in some things about what has been said. But many people fail to see that they are very hard working people. I used to work in H-E-B (Food Store) and yes, I would see Mexicans on food stamps, but I would also see a lot more other people on them (Blacks, Whites, Chicanos/as **aka Mexican Americans**)

There is a big fuss, making Mexicans look bad. You guys say that they have no right to be here because they are here illegally. Well getting papers is easier said then done. It is very hard for a Mexican to get papers. I’ve known people that have been waiting for there papers, 3-7 yrs with no reply. So they have no choice but to work illegally. And for those that hang out with illegals, ask them if there trying to become citizens, the majority will tell you yes, (because there trying to live right), and the ones that tell you no, most likely is because there only here temp. (At least that’s how it is here where I live at).

About speaking English… I agree. English should be spoken since we are in America… (Just a quick thought, since Indians were here before us, why didn’t we learn there language instead?). Anyways, most Mexicans do try to learn English. I’ve spoken to a lot of them (here were I live at because all my friends are Mexicans or have Mexican parents) and they have all told me the English is a necessity here. And most of them do try to learn English, even if they speak it all choppy and what not (guess remoer comes to mind lol…and me).
I’ve seen a few of you guys complain about the school your child goes to. About how slow the classes go because half of the class don’t speak English. I have something to say (my opinion). Even though in Mexico the classes are more advanced then here in the US. (At least in Elementary, Middle and High School). I don’t believe its fair for the others kids to suffer because of them. Seeing that they will be put back a grade and go over the same stuff they had already gone through. They should instead be put in a class to learn English before they are introduced into a normal class room.

Back to welfare. By heritage, a Mexican is a hard worker, and I believe welfare is good for those coming in to this country. But it should only be a temp thing. It should be a way to help people off there feet as they get started in a new country. And its true, many due abuse this country’s benefits (know that’s its not only Mexicans). Know that it is also the countries fault as well. But I do believe if taken away, Mexicans will do just as good with out it. They lived in Mexico without it, I’m sure they can live here without it as well. Now am I saying that Mexicans should not be entitled to welfare? No, but it should only be a temp thing to get them off there feet. Same goes for all those that are on it. The only reason to be on it for long periods of time is if your disabled.

As for my opinion, I have no problem with legal immigrants, and I agree that process to enter the country needs to be fixed, so people who really want to be here and be productive members of society can do so. Interesting info. Another interesting fact is that 2/3rds of Mexico's economy is currenty supported by the money being wired to Mexico from both illegal and legal immigrants. Another 3rd is from drug smuggling. Hey I've got an idea, let's finally legalize all drugs and tax them. Take the power away from the criminal element and put it back into our pocket. They either come here and work on jobs nobody wants to do, for the amount they are doing it, under the conditions that they are doing it.

Or belived me, the companies here if they know that it will cost them to much they will simply cross the border or go over sea and have it made cheaper.
For example, Hershey Chocolate here in PA, have closed some of their fasilities and I belived they are sending some of the production of their chocolate to mexico.

Last time I was at Macys in NY, checking on brands periods it nearly blew me away, fucking $50 on a damm T-shirt?? comon now!! and what really piss me off is that most if not all of those so call name brand stuff were made in some poor ass country.
