most people use longer bolts and some washers....

If i were to do this, i'd use longer grade 8 bolts some washers... eye it up so the wheels look straight ....and shoot to the shop for an alignment when done

I have done this even before they even had camber kits... I lowered my 88 crx the first week I bought it new in 88. I knew how to fix the rear at least.... Hell, in 88 they didnt have anything for upgrades

i did it when i was lowered 1.5 and it was fine, but once you get to the 2in mark i think you need to go with the upper control arm.

so to answer my question up above....

someone reassure me. grade 8 bolts are ok? or should i use 10? 10 is what the factory uses.

You want at least the diameter of the thread in engagement, otherwise get longer bolts. I like to corner the hell out of my cars and keep some negative camber so I only run 3 washers on each bolt and re-use the stock bolts. That and I run Nitto's and they are soft and like negative camber too.

I just did the washer trick last weekend. I couldn't find grade 10 so I used grade 8 bolts and 3 washers on each side. Got an alignment the next day and was within spec with -1.8 on the rear left and -1.9 on the rear right.
