Will lower control arms from a 91 teg fit on a 1992 civic si? I have a friend that has some extra ones with energy bushings, just wondering if I can use them.

Thanks for the reply. I searched and only found information on the 94 and up integra. I assumed it would be, but its better to be completely sure.

nah don't think it it's started as an rear sway bar swap thread then it took a mind of it's own and became a huge suspension swap thread. i still have to get the name of the thread change.

Ha thats cool. appreciate the help. do you think it would be better to just get aftermarket lca's instead of my friends new integra lcas with bushings?

Okay, I was installing the Rear lca's and I was wondering, is it possible that the integra and civic bushings differ, it fits in there really tight and I can only get two bolts lined up at a time, while still having the other one in the hole, but it wont start to tighten. Is there any secrets to this? thanks for the replies

patience and elbow grease. don't force it and get another set of hands to help you. let me explain you don't want to snap a r/lca on a sunday. there's no junkyards, honda dealer parts open either and lowes/home depo don't stock auto bolts and you don't want to used a cheap soft bolt on the part of you car. not a good out come if that bolt snaps while driving. take your time it will work. i've swap several suspension many times you need another hand.

i figure you would say that. lol. if i remember correctly.... you first put the strut/shock/damaper(however the hell you want to call it, lol), then you put the frame bolt the after that you a jack and jack it right under the shock and then you do the trail arm bolt.
very important don't tighten any of the bolts till you have them all on, just snug tight them. hand tight if you can or wrench snug.

I'm doing all of that and I cant get the trail arm bolt all the way through. i get the bolt through the first whole and into the bushing but cant make contact with the other side to start tightening it. lol not suspension related but do you have to remove the valve cover to remove the timing belt cover, looks like they inter lock.

whoa, whoa there turbo. from what car did you et that r/lca. i've never seen that r/lca before. there's your problem. those weren't taken from a 91 teg, i can bet money on that, more like vigor or a legend. i have 90-91 teg r/lca and they look nothing lke that.

Hey jetlag1992si, any progress yet? I had the same PIA with that subframe bolt when I was installing a rear sway bar/brace. What happened to me was the LCA was twisting, so you got the bolt 75% thru then it wouldn't line up with the other side (like your picture shows). Real pain in the ass!!
Hope you got it!
