im just wondering if any one can tell what the hell is that black thing on the valve cover, looks like a spark plug cover, can anybody tell what it is and what is for??

coil packs?? or are you talking about the long black thing?? Thats the cover for the wiring.

there individual coils. instead of having one coil in a dist with four wires runnin off one coil you have four individual coils runnin each plug

Good luck on using coil packs on anything other than a 7th gen. You could just sell your '95 vic and get a 7th gen though. They're great. Everyone loves them...

well i think it might be possible, i know that means a lot of work but it can be done, probably where i see the biggest issue is when it comes down to the timing, since the coil packs, apparently the work individually, how will set the timing if they not gonna use the distributor??? i might right??

but yea those are coil packs. anything is possible so i am sure it can be done. its not going to be cheap. if you really wanted coil packs i guess you could just swap the d17 out of 7th gen in, i would prolly be cheaper that way.

I can give the man credit for doing something different, but it's a no gains mod, just for shits and giggles and some people (me included) don't see the point in that.

Don (SOHCinWA) has had ideas, but he's interested in innovative ideas that actually have gains, ideas on how to get more power, on how to get that power to the wheels better, but not ideas on how to make your engine bay cooler. Ricers like those ideas though.
